Map

This is more or less the route I will take, it should end up at about 2100km.

The plan is to start off in Stockholm either the 25th or 26th of July. My goal is to cover at least 100km per day, and stay for a days rest every five or six days, depending on how far I've gotten. While pedalling through Sweden, some of the major cities I will pass are Norrköping, Linköping and Helsingborg, which is where I will take the ferry over to Helsingör (Denmark). It is the only way to pass Öresund as you are not allowed to cycle on the bridge from Malmö to Copenhagen. Crossing the small part of Denmark I will be visiting should not take me more than two nights, If I'm good on time however, I'll try to have a look around in Copenhagen. From Rödbyhavn on the south tip of Denmark I will once again board a ferry over to Feharn (Germany). None of the countries I'm cycling through except for Sweden allow travellers to set up their tents as you go, you are only allowed to set up your tent on camping sites. My goal however is to try and speak to landowners along the way to see if I can sleep on their territory. After enjoying the local cuisine in both Hamburg and Bremen I'll cross over to the bicycle friendly Netherlands. Here Amsterdam is a must. I'll try to stay as close to the coastline as possible on my way to the Hague and then inland towards Rotterdam. Depending on how I go on from there I might be cycling through Antwerpen (Belgium) towards Gent or through Goes. I shall encounter my first French in the city of Dunkerque just before reaching Calais. Depending on how I am doing on time, my plan is to cycle down and visit the beaches of Normandy in the north of France before taking a ferry over to the UK. After touching English soil it is pretty much straight forward to London and maybe a visit to the Brompton factory!
